With a PhD in theoretical physics, he started his professional career by building the Polish Virtual University, with thousands of students trained and hundreds of online courses produced. This experience moved him into corporate consulting. Since 2006 Andrzej realized many projects focusing mostly on Human Capital Management (for ARiMR, IMPEL, PZU, Polskie Porty Lotnicze, KRUS, and TK Telekom) and strategic management (eg., The strategy of Higher Education System in Poland). In his recent project, he managed diverse teams from different companies from PGE Capital Group to define and implement a blockchain platform. As part of his entrepreneurial activities, Andrzej initiated and managed 6 technological start-ups. That taught him not only how to build, motivate, and manage diverse teams ‘the agile way’, but was also a source of persistence – a skill necessary in a hard, start-up realm. For the last 20 years, he has been sharing his experience with C-level managers teaching Machine Learning, BigData, and AI on prestigious MBA Courses. Since 2000 Andrzej is also an active researcher. He participated in +15 international research projects focusing on ICT in Education, entrepreneurship, and Intellectual Capital development. In 2013 he focused his scientific interest on cognitive neuroscience and developed technological skills, including data wrangling (Numpy, Pandas), Machine Learning frameworks (Scikit Learn, Tensorflow, PyTorch) and a plethora of AI algorithms: Deep Learning architectures (CNN, LSTM, GANs, etc.) and Deep Reinforcement Learning ones (eg. DQNs, Policy Gradients, A2C or A3C methods).
His research on AI in Business Value Creation formed a base for his Habilitation (2019) degree in management from Warsaw University of Technology. Presently he focuses on business applications of self-learning, autonomous systems.
